Abstract
Our development and education teams work together to bridge the gap between technical teams and end-users. Through collaboration, we can outline new features, fixes, and improvements in a way that everyone can understand. In this presentation, we’ll explore how these combined powers can streamline the release process through better outreach and communication. We’ll discuss the importance of preparing working release notes in advance of the release and the benefits this brings to both developers and educators. We will also discuss how ByWater Solutions implemented bi-weekly development reviews (dev-revs) of requests from partners and how those developments can benefit the community. Reviewing our release notes prior to the release deployment allows us to educate our team to train users, identify potential bugs and prepare for upgrades.
