Te Mātāpuna Library & Learning Services at AUT has used Koha for 4 years, in partnership with Rōpū Kohinga at Catalyst IT. Koha is a significant part of our intention to be an “open first” library – we also use VuFind®, DSpace, Open Journal Systems, Pressbooks and Open Monograph Press. We prefer open source software for the following reasons: better and more flexible software; responsive community support; increased staff motivation and skill development; retaining investment within the University and Aotearoa.
We believe this kaupapa enables us to more effectively contribute to learning, teaching and research activities, supporting the University’s mission to “produce graduates the world needs”.
