Bob and Irma Birchall have been long-time supporters of Koha and the open source library community. For many years, they owned and ran Calyx, a company dedicated to providing support for Koha libraries throughout Australia. Their contribution to the Koha ecosystem helped countless libraries across Australia to implement and maintain Koha. Their commitment to the principles of open source software and community-driven development aligns perfectly with the kaupapa of Koha.
As Pāua sponsors of Kohacon25, Bob and Irma are supporting the morning tea break on the second day of the conference. This sponsorship reflects their ongoing dedication to fostering connections within the Koha community, even after their active professional involvement.
We are immensely grateful for their continued support as Koha returns home to Aotearoa New Zealand for its 25th anniversary celebration. Their generosity helps ensure that our conference remains accessible to all members of our global whānau.
